How Boredpanda started a journey to full inhouse with Yieldbird Platform

Challenge

Bored Panda is a popular website featuring diverse, creative content from art to humor, captivating a global audience. The publisher, who previously used full Yield Management services from a leading provider, started to build an in-house programmatic department. To facilitate this, they began looking for a technological partner that primarily handles Header Bidding technology.

Solution

To make that decision, Bored Panda A/B tested four different vendors, including the Yieldbird Platform. The key success metrics were:
- GAM ad speed metrics (creative load time and page navigation to first ad request)
- rCPM
- eCPM
- Viewability

Results

Yieldbird outperformed all competitors in terms of ad speed metrics while delivering similar or better results in terms of revenue/eCPM.
The publisher also highlights the flexibility of the Yieldbird team, for example, in delivering changes to Prebid adapters or being able to actively shape the Product Roadmap.
