Let’s start with a few sources relating to Programmatic information, which will be helpful both during and after your Programmatic tutorials:
WTF Programmatic – a great section on Digiday. As the Programmatic landscape continues to confuse newbies and vets alike, WTF series puts the nitty gritty of Programmatic and Advertising into lay terms that everyone can understand.
IAB Guidelines – here you will be able to find different guidances, best practices and standards on general subjects like GDPR, Header Bidding, Sellers.json etc. and current topics such as TCF 2.0, cookie-less monetization etc. You may also check out their Youtube channel, where all current Programmatic changes and initiatives are discussed by various Programmatic experts and IAB representatives.
The courses below are free and meet different needs, so choose according to your priorities:
Programmatic Certification (by MediaMath Academy) – This course series is perfect if you are new to Programmatic or if you would like to take your knowledge to a more advanced level. You will develop an understanding of the industry’s complex ecosystem and how traditional models have adapted to be successful in this ever-changing digital landscape.
Generate revenue with Adsense (LinkedIn Learning) – with one month free access to LI Learning, you will have more than enough time to acquire or upgrade your AdSense skills with this 1-hour course. You will learn basic foundations such as ‘creating an account’ and then you will move on to ‘maximizing revenue’.
SkillShop (by Google) – if you are planning to further develop your monetization, at some point you will have to contend with Google Ad Manager. Here you can find a course created by Google on starting with Google Ad Manager; coupled with ongoing related strategies. There are also additional courses on Google Analytics and Google Ads that might prove helpful as well.
Moving to some serious stuff, there are also courses where you will have to invest both time and money.
Udemy (paid per course) – you’ve probably heard about Udemy. It’s one of the biggest open online course providers. The advantage of Udemy is in its diversity, meaning that you can find courses on every skill or profession you’re interested in, including Programmatic monetization.
